[Responsibilities]
We are looking for resourceful and curious Investment Analyst / Senior Analyst who will support the Investment Team for Direct Investment Opportunities.
Investment Analyst / Senior Analyst will source and screen opportunities the Japan region and globally, develop and manage the deal pipeline, perform due diligence on the selected deals and lead the post-investment relationship with the portfolio companies.

What will you do?

  • Source and screen potential investments across the Middle East North Africa and Turkey (or MENAT) region and globally

  • Develop and manage deal pipeline

  • Conduct introductory calls with founders for selected deals

  • Perform due diligence for selected deals

  • Prepare internal due diligence documents for our Investment Committee

  • Keep track of up-to-date key metrics and financials of the portfolio companies

  • Initiate / develop relationship with universities, incubators, accelerators and other VC funds for potential investment opportunities

[Requirements]

  • Relevant business degree (science and technology oriented favorable)

  • Insatiable intellectual curiosity about technology and early-stage startups

  • 1-3 years of consulting, investment banking, and/or startup experience

  • Candidates with strong industry experience and subject matter expertise who would like to switch to venture capital in the same functional business sector are welcomed as well (e.g., a candidate who is working at an energy company and would like to switch to an investment position focusing on energy technology landscape)

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills since the daily activities will include having introductory calls with prominent founders

  • Fluency in English is a prerequisite

Language Requirement

  • English Language level: Fluent level

  • Japanese Language level: Fluent - Native Level (Equivalent to JLPT N1)

  • Work permission in Japan required
