Corporate Social Responsibility
en world Singapore supports HOPE Singapore in raising funds to help some of the world’s poorest families in the Philippines.
en world Singapore extended its support to the HOPE International Development Agency by being one of the Table Sponsor at the HOPE-Singapore Dinner & Auction on August 23, 2014, at the prestigious Conrad Centennial Singapore.
The evening was an invitation-only event bringing significant people and corporations together to achieve something significant in the lives of indigenous families in the Philippines.
The 2014 Gala theme is ‘the Philippines’ and the funds raised from this intimate event will help the poor and the oppressed become economically secure, socially responsible, and morally mature. All this was done through a variety of activities, including ones related to developing sources of clean water, sustainable agriculture, and educational opportunities in the impoverished communities of Luzon and Mindanao. In addition to the gourmet course meal served by Conrad Singapore, there was both Silent Auction and a Live Auction of unique, Priceless Prizes, many of which are donated by our generous supporters.
Who is HOPE?
HOPE International Development Agency extends help to the poorest of the poor worldwide. First established in Canada in 1975, we accomplish our mission by enabling people in the developed world to connect with people in the poorest communities on earth through compassionate giving and other opportunities to help.
HOPE-Singapore has a long-term commitment to the people of the Philippines. At the centre of the work is clean water, which is the beginning of real change and real development. But additionally, through investments in elementary and college education, training in health care, sustainable agriculture and food security, communities are taking control of their own futures and becoming self sufficient.
