[Position] Senior Accountant
[Salary] 7~8 million JPY

The senior accountant in Japan will provide Japan finance team mainly with both tax and accounting support. This is a key position within the Japan finance team, and you will be involved in almost all aspects of financial operations, such as tax, technical accounting, US GAAP, local GAAP, finance, treasury, external reporting, compliance.
Perform monthly closing, prepare journals
Prepare tax provision quarterly and corporate income tax filing
Responsible for all the tax related area, including but not limited to corporate income tax, consumption tax, as Japan subsidiary of U.S. company
Responsible for maintaining general ledgers in both US GAAP and Japan statutory basis.
Provide full support to Japan statutory filing process
Responsible for supporting tax audit, regulatory audit, as well as internal audits
Prepare Balance Sheet account analysis and reconciliations while providing supporting schedules. Bank accounts, A/R, A/P, Accruals, etc.
Assist if necessary day-to-day operations including data entry, customer invoicing and vendor payments. (Volume work sharing with team)
Special projects as required.
Experience for monthly, quarterly, year-end financial closing process with understanding Japan and U.S. GAAP is required:
Lead and support accounting area (operations, account reconciliations, reporting, audit), minimum 5 years
Lead or support calculating tax provision, preparing tax return file (corporate income tax, consumption tax, other related tax), minimum 3 years
Experience working at Japan operating company (Jigyogaisha) (mid-large size, subsidiary of international companies and/or tax accountant offices is plus)
Having a personal achievement such as improvement operations
Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for strong contribution to the team
Ability and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic and various company's culture environment
Self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision
Experiences, skills and knowledges of ERP system (Oracle, SAP, etc.) strongly preferred
Experience at tax accountant offices and/or accounting firms preferred
Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance preferred
MBA and /or Accounting Certification (CPA) a plus. USCPA is also plus.
Experience with international subsidiary accounting a plus
