[Responsibilities]
We are looking for an individual to join our group in a senior sales role to enhance our growth objectives in Japan.

The team capitalizes on the large opportunity outside of our traditional workstation business by selling feeds and other data delivery solutions across the following firm types:

  • Investment Banks, Institutional Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Asset Owners, Private Equity/Venture Capital, Wealth Managers, Retail/Self-Directed Investment Platforms

This person will work closely with the generalist sales team they are assigned to in order to help generate Annual Subscription Value (ASV) by selling solutions from our suite of data and technology solutions.

The responsibilities of this role include prospecting, lead generation, up selling existing accounts, and retaining our existing book of business. In addition, the salesperson is expected to:

  • Develop expert product and market knowledge
  • Qualify opportunities and manage the sales process
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline
  • Deliver superb presentations and present winning proposals
  • Coordinate trials, negotiate terms, and structure contracts
  • Think strategically to price and close deals
  • Help uncover new workflows within clients to monetize content
  • Provide feedback to Strategists and Product Development to enhance and improve our products
  • Utilize and work closely with group resources including Sales Engineering and Support/Implementation.
  • Collaborate with general sales team to build a CTS strategy for their respective accounts
  • Consistently offer thought leadership and scalable sales strategies regularly to develop junior specialists
  • Represent our off platform business by speaking fluently about all product lines at industry events

[Requirements]

  • Minimum of BJT Level 1/Native Japanese speaker
  • 6+ years of proven success in a sales and/or client facing role
  • Subject matter expertise in off-platform client workflows and deep knowledge of data solutions
  • Experience working with sql, python or other coding languages a plus
  • Robust industry network and cross functional exposure to above firm types
  • Display consistent willingness to educate sales teams on scalable off platform sales strategies
  • Willingness to learn and understand core industry trends and strategic initiatives being adopted by our clients - cloud, APIs, DaaS etc.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel and ability to self-motivate

Language Requirement

  • English Language level: Business level
  • Japanese Language level: Fluent - Native Level (Equivalent to JLPT N1)
  • Work permission in Japan required
