AR & Treasury Manager

[Responsibilities]
1. IFRS Financial Reporting for Sales and Treasury

  • Understand the group company accounting policies
  • Ensure to report Sales and Receivables accurately and timely
  • Prepare Sales and Sales KPI for group reporting
  • Review or prepare Treasury group reporting
  • Understand the system environments to follow up in case of any system trouble

2. Financial Activity

  • Oversee or enhance reconciliation process on Account Receivables and Cash
  • Monitor overdue and manage credit limit
  • Communicate with brand side to collect overdue
  • Manage payment timely and liaise with AP team and approvers
  • Review cash forecast for the group company cash pooling
  • Analyze the cash balance and optimize the loan at the renewal timing
  • Check invoices and postings done by team members
  • Supervise vendor and customer registration

3. Business Activity

  • Coordinate brands for contracts with credit card companies, shopping credit companies and other type of payments
  • Understand the regulation on Sales and communicate any necessary change in process or internal rule with brand side department
  • Be on hand for any new projects related to sales process including implementation of new POS system at stores or online payment systems

4. General Controls

  • Ensure the internal controls are in place as designed in Sales, Account Receivables and Cash mainly and support brands to operate store in line with the internal rule or compliance.
  • Prepare necessary documents for internal control
  • Communicate necessary departments for any improvement to enhance controls.

5. People

  • Develop/supervise team members
  • Manage temp staff
  • Involve hiring process for temp staff and employees

DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Manager position in AP/Reporting or AP/Tax within the F&A department
  • Finance or Accounting manager in other group companies
  • Business Planning & Control (Manager) in other group companies

[Requirement]
Education/Qualification: Bachelor's degree, preferably with major in Business Administration, Economics, Finance & Accounting

Experience, Skills/Abilities:

  • Japanese CPA or Tax Accountant is a plus
  • Proven work experience as Accounts Receivable Manager or Supervisor
  • Understanding of IFRS
  • Proven work experience in implementing projects
  • Managerial skills and experience are a must
  • More than intermediary computer skills
  • Experience with SAP is a plus

AR/Treasury Manager will be closely interacting with various stakeholders throughout all brands and not all of them are Japanese, so there will be many interactions in English and also to be able to influence the business by speaking with the heads of the businesses

8~13.5 million JPY

Flextime / core working hours : 11am to 3pm
