In order for us to help change the experience for millions smartphone users globally it is essential that we also improve outcomes for carriers and OEM partners at the same time. We do this through a process of value co-creation, working collaboratively with our partners to construct new ways of delivering value to both themselves and their consumers, often through the development of new our products and propositions.

The Sales and Business Development team works to develop solution for carrier and OEM partners, using our end-to-end capability to transform customers mobile experience. Product design incorporates defining the consumer proposition as well as delineating the commercial models for our partnerships and client relationships. The Sales and Business Development team plays a critical role to drive our business development and growth objectives globally

The Sales and Business Development manager will work closely with the Pre-sales team, with the following key areas of responsibility:

  • Develop relationship with key stakeholders with target carrier and OEM client. Our sales campaign often involves multiple functions and multiple layers with in large client organization, such as marketing, sales and distribution, product, after-service and technical team, from top management including C-suits down to the front-line of the sales, marketing and operation teams.

  • Understand client culture, politics and decision making process. The Sales and Business Development manager needs to understand clients strategy, business priortities, then tie these topics with our product and services and elevate our solution as strategice business initiatives within the client organization.

  • Identify the champion and internal sales person within the client organization and work closely with him/her to manage engagement and sales process.

  • Manage and own sales and deal management, develop engagement plan and execute so that we can make progress.

  • Work with the Pre-sales team as well as our global community to develop the solution addressing client business issues and deliver tangible value to the end custoemrs.

  • Lead commercial and contract negotiation

  • Build strong sales organization and educate sales team

In order to be successful in this role, in addition to working closely with Pre-sales team, the Sales and Business Development manager must work closely with our global community.

As such, it should be expected that the areas of responsibility may flex over time, reflective of the goals of the individual combined with the company's goals.


  • 5 - 10 year experience in B2B sales with large cleinet organization

  • Knowledge on mobile business and experience selling large and complex deal with large wireless operators are a strong plus

  • Experience working cross-functionally, leveraging expertise from colleagues to create a solution

  • MBA from a leading global program; Bachelor's degree in business, economics or engineering

  • Experience working globally across different cultures and business environments

  • Japanese and English both in writing and speaking essential

  • English Language level: Business level

  • Japanese Language level: Fluent - Native Level (Equivalent to JLPT N1)

  • Work permission in Japan required
