  • It is currently fast transforming its marketing model in order to fully leverage Digital and Consumer data as a way to better connect with consumers and more efficiently invest behind brands.
  • Japan being in the top 10 market for the company group is at the forefront of this Digital & Data acceleration. In order to build a strong data ecosystem and elevate the level of data-driven marketing culture with actionable insights, we are now opening a new position of Marketing Analytics Manager.

◆KDP MATRIx related - 60% of time in Year 1

  • Lead the data refresh with Key Stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Finance, external agencies, data scientist and deployment lead in HQ, etc.) for collecting and integrating the data to the model and sense-check them overall
  • Work with Japan Management Committee members & other key stakeholders, including Sales & Marketing community and other external executives to leverage insights for budget process, from technical and business point of view
  • Coordinate multiple data sources ranging from Matrix (Intage Japan POS data based), IWSR (External market data), Polaris (global EPM) so that the comparative analysis among those multiple data source could be run in a streamlined manner.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure necessary alignment

◆Non- KDP MATRIX oriented work streams - 40% of time in Year 1

  • Build a strong data ecosystem resulting into a better understanding of Consumers, and optimization of company's investments
  • Lead the implementation of Company's Group data driven projects, such as strong data-analytic tools like Digital Cockpit aiming at tracking the efficiency of Digital Media investment & eCommerce analytics/insights platform
  • Play a key role on future Key Digital Programs (beyond KDP MATRIx) which requires data management capability

Strategic Planning & Consumer Insights:

  • Leverage at best "consumer and business intelligence": covering and smartly connecting "Consumer" data (e.g. social listening), Market data (retail panel, industry data, ecommerce data) and "Company" data (sell-in volume, profit).
  • Design and operate 2nd generation of Japan Pool of Profit (JPOP) analysis - Internal Volume/CM database covering key Wines & Spirits category, leveraging multiple data sources used in KDP Matrix
  • Leverage BI tools (e.g. power BI) to design consumer-friendly performance dashboards.

◆Academic Requirement:

  • A degree at a bachelor's level
  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics is a plus

◆Professional Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on analytics or as business analyst for Marketing data
  • Experience of building and utilizing Marketing Mix Modeling is a plus


  • Both English & Japanese (strong business proficiency in written and verbal communication are required)
  • In particular, high English Proficiency to communicate with local Management Committee, Region & HQ, etc. required

◆Key Competencies (hard):

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to presentation, detail and accuracy
  • Logical & Critical Thinking, Strategic & Business Mindset and Financial Acumen
  • Familiarity with data science methods and scaling data science methods
  • Proven experience on building reporting dashboards (BI tool such as Power BI)
  • Must: Microsoft office applications
