About This Role :
You are accountable for overseeing all aspects of IT I&O - Infrastructure and Operations Client Support for Japan affiliate, primarily by delivering effective support to users for day-to-day IT operations, productivity tools, general technologies, and managing projects lead by the APAC I&O lead.

What you will do:
1. Deskside IT Support and management

  • Working with the local deskside service providers, deliver deskside hardware and software support to Japan and extended to the other Asia affiliate sits users - including laptops / printers / scanners / AV systems / and iOS Mobile Devices.

  • Working with the local deskside service providers, coordinate / provide support for video and audio conferencing.

  • Keep consistency of the asset/mobile device management including hardware asset inventories, device allocations, provisioning, and troubleshooting.

  • Monitor and ensure deskside SNOW tickets meet defined SLA's.

2. Project Deployments and New deskside initiatives

  • Support deployments of global IT solutions to the affiliates.

  • For locally identified needs where no global solutions exist, work with the regional IT Head and the I&O lead to define and deliver appropriate solutions within the global IT guidelines.

3. IT service improvement

  • Identify and provide user training to drive effective use of IT solutions and reduce usage-based incidents.

  • Based on the ITIL foundation, identify, and reduce problems and recurring incidents.

  • Collaborating with IT colleagues and outsourced partners, provide best solutions to move Biogen business forward.

  • Improve existing IT services by eliminating support gaps and inefficient processes.

4. Datacentre operations

  • Work with the global network, platform, infrastructure team and external vendors to support IT infrastructure in Tokyo / APAC Datacenters.

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Advanced computers studies, vendor certifications

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • 3 + years Minimum experience in similar position

  • Basic datacentre operations experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Fluent in English

  • Practical, up-to-date, and extensive knowledge of relevant technologies

  • Systems analysis, troubleshooting and documentation skills

  • Audit and Inspection support knowledge

  • Business acumen to facilitate priorities and urgency

  • Written and verbal communication skills for instructional communications and to positively influence end user behaviour both in Japanese and English
