Global Purchasing Manager

[Company Description]



  • Manage Procurement team (6 personnel) with defined/agreed performance target, including purchasing at production site in Japan

  • Create/execute procurement/sourcing strategy

  • Secure smooth component supply from suppliers

  • Manage robust relationship with suppliers

  • Select supplier and source components at the right cost with quality/lead time, by understanding the roadmap of our product portfolio and the target cost of product, and understating market landscape and supplier's capability

  • Facilitate VA/VE activities and technical roadmap collaboration with suppliers

  • Govern Procurement process

  • Drive improvement in Procurement and cross functional activities

  • Assess Supply Chain Risk, Business Continuity Plan and Compliance

Experience requirements:

  • 10+ years of Procurement experience

  • 3+ years of management experience

  • Experience from a multinational company

Language Requirement:

  • English Language level: Business level (oral & writing, TOEIC 800 or above)

  • Japanese Language level: Fluent - Native Level (Equivalent to JLPT N1, Japanese proficiency test 1kyu level)

  • Work permission in Japan required

Competences & Abilities:

  • Dynamic, energetic with the necessary drive and ability to mobilize an organization towards common goals and objectives and drive change.

  • Solid track record of driving results

  • Strong negotiation skill

  • Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills

  • Substantial knowledge and experience in the electrical industry with technical knowledge of components

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and across the entire/global organization

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent people skills in working with people from different cultures.

  • Willingness to travel

  • Experience with SAP (preferred)

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience of

8〜11 million JPY
