[Responsibilities]
Summary

• The company has been putting a lot of focus on ESGs and sustainable investments, and business has been increasing through out last year strongly. So, they decided to hire additional head count to further strengthen ESGs and sustainable investments. There are already a few projects are running now, therefore, a lot of reporting needs to be handled. Main tasks are translation of reporting, reviewing and sign off, also be a facilitator for senior management in Japan office as well as US side. Also there are projects related to sustainable businesses, this position will be participating those projects and sometimes leading the project.

Purpose of the Role

• This role mainly plays a key function to deliver high quality Sustainability reporting and business meeting facilitation via co-working with Sustainable Investing teams across the group. To satisfy various type of clients, the role should be a trusted partner with multiple sales teams and other relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Translation, editing and final sign off for Sustainability Policies and Reports

• Managing the production of Sustainability/Stewardship reporting through collaborating with Sustainable Investing teams across the group.

• Preparation, editing, and Sign off for Japan Stewardship code self-evaluation report

• Meeting support for Japan Stewardship Review committee and meeting coordination of Japan Stewardship Working group

• Being as a central point of contact for Sustainable Investing/Proxy voting teams

• Proxy Voting disclosure report review

• Contribution on Global/Local projects which relates to Sustainability such as Sustainable Investing client data project, Corporate Sustainability Working group, and so on

• Attendance on client meetings with Sales team to explain Sustainability/Stewardship activities in Japanese on behalf of relevant global investment teams when required

• Support Head of Client Services and Head of Client Documentation as a team player

[Requirements]

• Strong desire to deliver the message of importance of sustainability

• Financial industry experience with understanding of the asset management business and relevant knowledge of the regulations about Sustainable Investing

• Excellent translation skill for both English to Japanese and Japanese to English

• Ability to facilitate, arrange meetings and take minutes

• Solid communication skills both in Japanese and English

• Client service experience or ESG specialist experience is preferred

• Knowledge of product, ESG integration and Japan's Stewardship code is welcome

• Accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of service delivery, documentation and reporting

• Team player with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with good rapport building skills

• An inquisitive mind, a love of solving problems and building solutions

• Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work

• Ability to discuss technical aspects of a product or service

• English Language level: Business level

• Japanese Language level: Fluent - Native Level (Equivalent to JLPT N1)

• Work permission in Japan required

11-13 million JPY + bonuses
