Business Development Director


To be responsible for Japan Industrial (Heavy Duty and Mobility) go-to-market strategy and working together IPT teams in developing detail execution plans to achieve committed outcomes.
This role also includes providing guidance and coaching to improve sales teams' effectiveness, leading business development initiatives for new segments and managing regional industry key account growth plans.

The Business Development Director, specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas:
Accountability #1:
・ Develop in-depth understanding of market trends and competitive landscape
・ Work closely with sales organizations to develop robust sales strategies by segment
・ Lead account planning, business development activities and sales engagements
Accountability #2:
・ To develop the strategy to grow share of wallet for targeted accounts
・ Develop application expertise for direct selling to key stakeholders and influencers
・ Build and sustain relationships up to and including key C-level executives for key customers
Accountability #3:
・ Develop channel coverage by market segment and support development of right partners
・ Develop direct, channel sales and marketing skills and competencies metrics
・ Develop standard enterprise selling process, opportunities and pipelines management

Establish a strong Industrial practice to increase our penetration into key segments, including Heavy duty industrial and Mobility.
Develop an effective go-to-market model leveraging on a direct-to-market and distribution networks to serve these key markets effectively, across the region.
To build domain experts able to lead sales with specification approach and deliver customize systems.
・ Able to led sales engagements with systems selling approach
・ Able to coordinate, align, influence externally and internally stakeholders
・ Develop standardize proposal packages and value proposition
・ Sales volume and market share growth
・ Return on investment and operating profit
・ Build, develop and manage talents
・ Performance measurements will include new customers and sales targets assignment


Japanese Language level: Fluent - Native (Equivalent to JLPT N1)
Work permission in Japan required
