The Director, Talent & Organization Development is responsible for developing and implementing programs aligned to support the development of employees and their respective People Leader's. This position also executes programs to develop leadership skill and impart organizational practices and policies by utilizing various learning methods. The incumbent will investigate training resources for appropriate information and suggest new topics.May supervise 1 or more Talent and Organization Development members

  • Continue to lead the implementation of the thought process and methodology of Performance Management and Talent Review cycle
  • Develop and provide Leadership development program by utilizing global initiatives and needs of Japan region
  • Coach and mentor some people leaders
  • Liaise with Global HR counterparts to drive new initiatives and implement them in Japan
  • Assess training needs and providing the solutions through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, and/or consultation with managers, instructors or customer representatives
  • Transfer of knowledge to learners by utilization of a variety of learning tools and application of adult learning principles
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record of Ex-Survey, training activities and program effectiveness
  • Develop and deliver competency based learning activities (i.e. management/leadership skill, coaching and feedback, etc.)
  • Coordinate site and/or enterprise-wide learning opportunities and events
  • Develop and deliver multi-channel cascading employee communications and accompanying manager and employee tools
  • Administer and leverage the learning management system to support training initiatives
  • Manage training projects and work on special assignments as needed
  • Creates subject matter certification instructions manuals, training materials and evaluation processes


  • English: fluently
  • Bachelor's Degree and more
  • MBTI users certificate
  • 7 years people leadership as director
  • 5 years' experience as leader in a Talent & Organization Development organization


  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Experience in other HR fields such as HRBP, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Employee relations, in addition to assessing, planning, developing, and delivering training and learning initiatives
  • Strong relationship building and collaborative characteristics to interact with key business partners and stakeholders to enhance employee performance/Leadership Skill
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; understanding and adjusting to individual differences in ability, personality, interests, and means of learning and motivation
  • Experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data for short and mid-term impacts; identifying areas of opportunity
  • Ability to evaluate and identify the correct medium to disseminate learning and training initiatives
  • Ability to work independently or within teams
