Job content Job purpose:

  • Develops and implements a supply chain strategy in line with the business objectives
  • Creates and implements a "road map" that supports the strategy with clear deliverables
  • Puts into place and tracks clear measures to deliver expected service to customers, while minimizing costs and working capital throughout the "end to end" supply chain
  • Develops practices, tools and human resources to ensure long term sustainability, leveraging the support and functional guidance of the Corporate and Regional SCM offices

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

  • Defines and documents a Supply Chain strategy together with the Country Board and the SCM Function, combining the objectives of the Country business strategy, and the enabling approaches, processes, tools and organizational enhancements, recommended by the Corporate and Regional SCM support functions
  • Develops the yearly and mid term budget that takes into account like-for-like and growth business, start up costs (where appropriate), productivity improvements envisaged, investments and inclusion of known risks
  • Mirrors the budget with operational performance improvements and corresponding KPI development
  • Defines clear action plans to achieve the expected targets
  • Regularly monitors operational and financial performance
  • Coordinates the Supply Chain end to end strategy implementation. The strategy includes
  • Manages and is responsible for the daily business (including supplier, LSP and order management)
  • Keeps the connection with the market and the industry


  • University Degree
  • Profound understanding of Supply Chain (holistic view)
  • Profound expertise in wholesale or retail business with a broad perspective in wholesale or retail principles, methods and processes
  • Capability to operate and to influence at Board level, in order to get the SCM strategy and objectives delivered
  • Excellent communication/negotiation skills
  • Entrepreneurial and customer focus
  • Some operational knowledge of store operation or of buying
  • Experience in coordinating and negotiating with LSPs and/or suppliers
  • A detailed understanding of project and change management in a dynamic environment
  • Business English (both written and oral) Experiences:
  • 10- years working experience in a relevant position / industry


  • A senior and experienced manager who can effectively manage a large team, influence an even larger stakeholder community, support the business with an effective and lean supply chain centred on professional customers
