・Develop and maintain a rich understanding of regional needs and champion feature requests from the market (being the voice of the region within the Product Management team)
・Develop recommendations on relative priority of regional feature requests / use cases based on analysis of specific customer needs and desires, assessment of market competition, and other local market research
・Partner with Product Management to ensure the roadmap is aligned with the strategic vision
/ market strategy
・Product roadmap and upcoming releases to both the regional Customer Success team and Customers
・Become on the ground expert for all products within the region, supporting both the regional Customer Success team and Customers (communicating value proposition and strategic direction, guiding appropriate application / configuration of product features, and identifying and solving for risks and workarounds)
・Ensure that Product Management continues to be abreast of customer needs in a market, including identifying strategic opportunities for Product Management to be part of regional customer engagements and key events
・Work with Product Management and Marketing to develop positioning and messaging to differentiate the product in the market, develop Sales and Customer Success materials that can be re-used between customers, and generate awareness and interest in emerging product lines.
・Build and maintain a set of relationships with users and buyers in the market.
・Create regional variants of both buyer and user personas, based on interviews and other relevant market data.
・2 - 5 years of product management experience, or 2+ years of management consulting
・Ability to remain disciplined and say "No" to feature creep, while remaining pragmatic and
creative to deliver on customer needs with minimal risk
・Some experience in market analysis, business case and ROI model development experience
・Outstanding presentation (visual, written, oral) and listening skills; comfortable getting in front of customers and users to present anything from business vision to technical details, and to gather requirements
・Business appropriate fluency in both English and Japanese
・Comfort in working with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, loosely structured startup environment
・Demonstrated history of learning about broad set of products or multiple product lines quickly, while appropriately pulling subject matter experts where appropriate
・Strong organizational and analytical skills, a preference for making data driven decisions, and strong attention to detail
・Proven ability to work with teams of professionals across regions and understanding of regional cultural differences
・Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to 50%
・Pharmaceutical sales and marketing experience is a big plus
・CS or technical background is a plus, but not required
