  • Work with the business to understand their recruitment needs; formulate recruitment plans, writing and assessing job descriptions, best methods of directly sourcing and attracting candidates & reducing management time in the process
  • Orchestrate and coordinate interviews for all recruiting activity
  • As one of the primary contacts for the candidate and our internal interview team, there is a strong focus on providing excellent customer service
  • Distribute CVs and interview schedules to those on the interview team
  • Update applicant tracking system (ATS) as required
  • Support Recruiting team where needed including opening Job Requisitions, Advertising, Internal liaison, creating and supporting referral campaigns
  • Assist with other staffing related duties as requested, including reporting, preparing of Letter offers
  • Sourcing candidates directly via headhunting, advertising, referrals and search
  • Source and pre-screen candidates
  • Review resumes, form short-lists and review with hiring managers
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team members on various projects and initiatives
  • Track and monitor hiring data
  • Work closely with local Human Resource Business Partner as part of our "One team" philosophy


  • Experience in hiring across multiple functions in Japan
  • Experience working within a software vendor and/or technology business
  • Recruitment experience, ideally in-house within an IT software environment and with an external agency
  • Ability to run projects within a matrix environment
  • Prolific experience in direct hiring methods such as headhunting, search, advertising, database search and referral campaigns
  • An understanding of the different attraction methods and how and when to use them
  • An understanding of different selection & assessment tools/techniques and how and when to use them
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Ability to build relationships face to face and over the phone
  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies at one time working to tight timelines and quality measures
  • Team player willing to support others with heavy workloads
  • Positive attitude, initiative, preparedness and creativity
  • Strong Communication skills-verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to multitask and quickly respond to requests
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize and set realistic expectations

Additional Qualifications

  • A mixture of agency & Internal recruitment experience is preferred
  • Specific experience of recruiting for Sales functions in the Technology Sector preferred
  • Multilingual with fluency in Japanese and English
  • Understanding of HR policy, process and legislation
