Global Retail Company

This role will be responsible for managing the end to end operations for Japan's business, which encompasses key functions of freight management; warehousing; distribution and delivery. The role will drive Operations' policy and framework for Japan in alignment with that of the region and global setup.
- In charge of Freight, Warehousing and Distribution in Japan, drive and implement Omni-channel distribution in the market.
- Implement any global and/or regional Operations policy and strategy in Japan
- Work with Business Units to ensure that current needs are being met and future needs are being anticipated for and planned for
- Launch Tender, Set up KPI, run regular review meetings to manage and drive performance improvement of the 3PL providers
- Full accountability for best execution of Japan order fulfillment, transportation, storage and delivery of products
- Focus on finding ways to improve efficiency of existing operations to maintain or enhance processes to 'best in class' and facilitate better decision making.
- Ensure the accuracy and approve the bills from the 3PL
- Produce regular Inventory Report and hold meeting with the stakeholders to drive agreed optimal inventory level
- Produce regular cost analysis report to report Cost Per Unit (CPU) and drive cost reduction
- Develop and manage annual Operating budget
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, maintaining high ethical standards
- Develop and manage annual Operating budget
- Implement the new ERP on supply chain front in Japan
- Work and collaborate with the Operations Team in Hong Kong regional office
- Train, motivate and develop direct reports. Communicate values, strategies, objectives and assign accountabilities to team
- Act as market expertise to provide regular market intelligence and Best Practice
- Run any ad hoc projects as assigned

- Minimum 8 years solid experience with at least 5 years at managerial level
- Experience in supply chain/logistics multi-channel experience in 3PL and/or FMCG in supply chains and local transportation, with 3PL Tender and execution experience a plus
- Retail and Ecommerce logistics experience a plus
- Leadership & stakeholder management is highly preferred
- Familiarity with operating models for third-party distribution centers
- Proven track record of expertise in footwear and/or apparel supply chains and product marketing experience is plus
- Fluidity with systems integration and the use of IT to drive efficiency and effectiveness and excellent Excel skills
- Good written and oral communication skills in English, prior experience in Change Management and Customer Services
- Good numerical skills, analytical and cost sensitive
- Pleasant personal and communication skills
- Team player, Result-oriented person, places high value on execution and details with ability to learn
