Global Precision Equipment Manufacturer

This position is to maintain the current existing business as well as to grow a business in Japan by finding any business opportunities, leading the design in with Headquarter Business Units and technical support team proactively, by leveraging company's international capability and experiences.

<Main areas of responsibility>
  • Report to Sales Director
  • Understand company's products and technology, as well as customers' applications
  • Maintain and grow Sales revenue of products and service from Key accounts
  • Maintain and develop relationship with existing and new customers as well as develop senior contacts of Key accounts
  • Plan and arrange customers meetings and visit customers proactively
  • Gather market, technical, and customers information at high level
  • Find and identify any business opportunities and make a plan & strategy to get the design in business with headquarter Business Units
  • Find and identify products cross selling opportunities from Key accounts
  • Weekly report of Sales booking numbers, Sales team activities, customers issues and complaints, identifying the problem & gap if any, make a plan & strategy how to fill the gap, and lead a team
  • Monthly forecast update with a comparison of POR, identify the reason of the gap, plan and strategy to fill the gap, as well as Key Accounts customers production forecast update
  • Frequent communication with Technical Support, CSR, Service, Quality and Supply Chain to solve the issues, such as delivery, quality, etc.
  • Attend regional meetings and Tel conference call as required
  • Determine the terms and condition of an agreement and close sales, including price and delivery terms
  • Represent company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations if any
  • Understand company compliance and export control
  • 5~10 years Sales experience in the Semiconductor market (Preferably vacuum system manufacturer or OEM of PE-CVD, Dry Etch, ALD, or our competitors, such as Inficon, AE, Pheiffer, Brooks, etc.)
  • 5~10 years working experience as Sales in multi-national company
  • Proven Sales skills and experience
  • Track record of solid commercial results in solutions selling
  • Self-starter and self-motivated person, proactive, not reactive
  • Good communication skills and manners to work with Headquarter Business Units and other teams in Japan
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to intuitively relate to new and different cultural and operational styles
  • Solid commitment to customer service, internally and externally
  • Preferably Electromechanical background
  • Interact with customers on technical issues related to their applications
  • Fluent Japanese (JLPT N1) and Business English level required
