[Responsibilities]
Our growing company is currently in need of a responsible individual to fill the position of Facilities Manager. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring all our offices in Japan are fully functioning and secured at all the times and meets the needs of the organization, employees and visitors. The successful candidate will oversee the company's Japan facilities operations, including space planning, vendor contract negotiations, manage staff and services providers, end to end project management all while remaining in compliance with regulations.

  • Manage the overall services provided within Japan facilities
  • Create a suitable environment for the purpose and needs of the facilities
  • Use best business practices to calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
  • Plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives
  • Manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
  • Create a budget for various facilities needs and expenses
  • Manage the maintenance of workplace
  • Direct, coordinate and plan essential services such as reception, security, maintenance,mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling
  • Ensure offices meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
  • Track offices upkeep as well as anticipated long- and short-term improvements and maintenance
  • Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facilities
  • Other various general affairs

[Requirements]

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Time-management skills
  • Multi-tasking skills; organizational and planning skills
  • Leadership skills
  • The ability to lead and manage teams and projects
  • Attention to detail but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture

  • Flexible scheduling
