The Senior Corporate Counsel - Privacy is a confident and articulate individual with the ability to independently analyze and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. As a lawyer on our legal team, you will be responsible for working on a range of privacy issues, that impact all aspects of our business and involve close interaction with our product, engineering and other business teams. You have a proactive work style, and are accustomed to working with a global workforce. We are seeking a business lawyer who is passionate about problem-solving while showing great attention to detail.

  • Advising on strategic privacy compliance planning and the continued development and improvement of all aspects of our privacy compliance program
  • Reviewing and analyzing privacy queries from our product teams relating to tools and services used and offered by the company
  • Advising the business on data privacy compliance issues and practices
  • Remaining up-to-date on privacy legislative developments that may affect the company, and identifying potential strategic changes
  • Drafting and implementing privacy policies and data transfer and processing agreements
  • Assisting in data protection audits, regulatory reviews, and investment and acquisition projects
  • Working closely and effectively with our Privacy Team and Data Protection Officer (DPO), as well as other affiliates in Recruit group
  • Completing other related duties and special projects as assigned


  • 日本法弁護士資格
  • 5年以上のビジネス法務の実務経験
  • 日本の個人情報保護法(APPI)への十分な理解と経験
  • 他エリアにおけるデータプライバシー法(GDPR、CCPAなど)の主要知識
  • 当社の事業やHR Tech業界の新分野の法律への興味や意欲
  • 高いコミュニケーション能力/柔軟性/スピード感/主体性
  • ネイティブレベルの日本語力とビジネスレベル以上の英語力


  • 米国または欧州の弁護士資格
  • 消費者保護法やその他テクノロジー関連法など、当社のビジネスに適用される広範な法律分野での経験
  • HRテクノロジーやウェブビジネスに関連した訴訟の経験
