[Responsibilities]

  • Support and drive the strategic priorities of our Medical Business in Japan, enabling the Corporation to solidify its leadership position in driving innovative and meaningful healthcare solutions for surgeons and patients
  • Promote transformational new product launches, tell local stories that bring them to life
  • Work on programs to enhance our reputation and growth
  • Develop communications programs to drive public awareness of disease states such as Atrial fibrillation and the health needs of an aging population
  • Support issues and crisis management needs of the business
  • Develop customer/patient stories that elevate our storytelling
  • Build relationships with key media and influencers - understand their needs and how to develop and pitch valuable content that addresses market trends and topics
  • Understand and deploy social media and multimedia content within communications programs
  • Support an employee engagement strategy with impactful employee programs and communications
  • Support and guide executives and spokespeople in their communication engagements
  • Establish tools so the business can self-serve on basic communication needs
  • Be able to measure and report outcomes to business stakeholders
  • Successfully engage across the business and work on projects in the interest of the entire Company.
  • The position will work across multiple aspects of the medical device business in Japan and strong collaboration will be critically important. The role demands a strong working understanding of press, influencer and social communications, media relations, issues management and reputation. The role requires the ability to understand the business need and frame programs of value to business stakeholders.

The successful person will be able to influence in a complex organization and demonstrate a high level of personal accountability to outcomes.
