Compensation & Benefits
- Partner with Global Compensation & Benefits team to implement global initiatives in compensation, incentives, stock options, employee Recognition and localize at the country level
- Collaborate with Head of HR and Japan HQ + Field Field Leadership Team on optimally leveraging investments in compensation, benefits, and award programs to meet business goals.
Social Security / Benefits / Payroll Support
- Manage payroll vendor and monitor outsourced services (day-to day assistance) to effectively deliver services to store management
- Ensure that applicable social security / benefits programs are provided to eligible employees and meet legal requirements
- Manage Oracle PeopleSoft HRMS functions as system owner; ensure proper administration by users (HR / business partners / field organization) and integrity of employee data
- Maintain information security for employee HR data and monitor the streamlining of processes
- Collaborate with IT and vendors in identifying issues and implementing solutions to enhance quality of the system
- 5 years + HR Experience
- Broad and deep knowledge of HR practices including Compensation & Benefits, Systems (HRIS), Employee Relations and Compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both Japanese and English)
- Ability to influence and coach others with appropriate self-confidence and presence
- Ability to work collaboratively with business partners across functions
- Manage several projects and perform additional duties as necessary that support the HR team
- Manage budget and resources with excellent prioritization skills
- Strong ability to develop/communicate persuasive point of view with higher management/leadership
