Essential Functions

  • Maximize brand equity and brand contribution to the Luxury Beauty business by continuously evolving/innovating the marketing mix
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to build long-term brand loyalty and attracting new customers for assigned brand(s)
  • Create luxury consumer experience and satisfaction for assigned brand(s)

Key Role & Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategies. Develop and implement local brand strategies according to international brand strategies, but localized to meet the specific demands and intricacies of the country's beauty landscape
  • Product Portfolio. Manage product portfolio ensuring that all launches are strategic, sustainable, addressing market demands, and strengthening the brands' positioning
  • Budget Management. Build and control marketing budget such that each expense is maximized and aligned towards the achievement of the brands' over-all KPIs
  • Advertising. Develop the brand's television/digital/print/out-of-home advertising plans with media agency in accordance to global and regional directions
  • Digital Marketing. Direct the digital agency in developing and executing the digital component of launch and always-on campaigns to maximize awareness and bring counter traffic
  • Press Releases. Work with the PR agency in developing and executing PR plans for the brands' key launches and reanimations to increase brand awareness and strengthen brand credibility
  • Event Management. Conceptualize and supervise the implementation of brand-building and sales generating events that express the brands' heritage, image, and expertise
  • Visual Merchandising. Directly liaise with Global VM, local VM, as well as distributor's VM teams with regard to developing & implementing counter designs according to global brand standards while meeting local retailer requirements
  • Brand/Product Training. Work hand-in-hand with the local trainer in developing effective brand/product training materials to elevate expertise of Beauty Advisors and distributors' Brand Managers
  • Forecasting. Guide the distributor in per-SKU forecasting by determining nationwide demand on a per-SKU level, after detailed monthly analysis of historical sales, stock levels, and upcoming brand activities and trends, that lead to the achievement of the brand's total target
  • Promotions. Guide the distributor in developing, implementing, and measuring effectivity of retail activities/promotions that hype up launches and pillar franchises, while still delivering high margins for the brand
  • Business Analysis. Analyze sales and other business indicators (e.g. digital marketing KPIs) to ensure that the brand's tactics are working towards the achievement of total brand targets


  • Market Entry Strategy. Work hand-in-hand with North Asia Marketing Director in identifying and executing the most effective strategies in launching and building new brands in the market


  • At least 5 years of marketing experience in Beauty, of which at least 3 years are in Luxury Beauty
  • High-learning agility with humbleness
  • Highly analytical and organized
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (including 報連相)
  • Project management skills
  • Team management skills
  • Ability to see the big picture as well as the little details
  • Team player, proactive, self-motivated
  • Languages: Japanese and English required
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, and Word
  • International business trip might be required (1-2/year)
