[Responsibilities]
Responsible

• Proactively explore new therapeutic concepts and targets for CNS and Neuromuscular diseases from the view of RNA biology

• Design, execute, and data analysis of in vitro experiments

• Communicates and collaborates effectively with project team members and contributes to scientific discussion

• May drive collaborations with internal groups, and external partners, including CROs and academia

• May manage and mentor junior researchers and fosters a bottom-up culture of science level

• Conducts scientific presentations effectively to internal and external audiences with participants from all levels of the organization.

• Creates relevant intellectual property for the company and contributes to patent authorship

Contribute

• Makes strategies for research programs in therapeutic areas relevant to stakeholders.

• May assess external technologies for future collaboration

[Requirements]
Mandatory:

• English Language level: Business level

• M.S. in Molecular Biology or related field with 2+ years' experience in industry

• Demonstrates hands-on experience working with RNA and post-transcriptional gene regulation (Example: cell culture, transfection, RT-qPCR, Western blot, ELISA, etc.)

• Demonstrates independent scientific and technical thought and keeps abreast of current literature in cutting-edge RNA biology

• Ability to present work formally to Research Committee and at external conferences

Preferred skills and experience:

• Ph.D. or M.D. degree in Molecular Biology or related field

• Demonstrates experience on working for CNS and Neuromuscular diseases

• Demonstrates in-depth understanding and method development skills in RNA molecular biology (Example: RNA binding proteins, pre-mRNA processing, RNA metabolism, RNA structure biology, RNA-related NGS technologies (HITS-CLIP, DMS-MaP, RIP-Seq, etc.), lncRNA, miRNA, etc.)

• Demonstrates experience to utilize in using public biological databases to analyze protein, DNA, and RNA sequences

• Demonstrates experience on interpreting data RNA-related NGS technologies

• Demonstrates basic knowledge with in vivo animal models and ability to make experimental plans and interpret the data from in vivo study
