Digital Account Manager

This position will support digital-focused accounts as a day-to-day client and internal team lead, managing ongoing social workstreams to ensure we continue to deliver best in class digital content and strategy.
We are looking for an ambitious, proactive, detail-oriented, and driven individual to join our Japan Digital team to help lead an expanding portfolio of corporate-, B2C and B2B-related accounts.
The ideal candidate is passionate about digital marketing, social media strategy, community managements, technology, and client relationships. They should enjoy solving problems, uncovering insights, and guiding large and small campaigns from ideation to implementation. Furthermore, the ideal candidate thrives under pressure, has a strong sense of judgement, and finds satisfaction in helping their clients succeed.

Requirements and responsibilities:

  • Lead the team in developing social media strategy and plan to align with client's digital marketing goals
  • Implement the strategic planning of social media campaigns, coming up with social contents calendars for monthly, a quarter/half along with execution ideas
  • Work closely with creative and design team to manage the creation of relevant and engaging social media contents onto various social media platforms and manage the creatives of social ads and DSP ads, including videos, graphics, and banner designs
  • Manage and maintain a client's brand online community, creating original text, video content, managing posts and interacting with online community members and customers in a professional, personable, and timely manner to grow and keep the community active
  • Work with clients to define right approaches for influencers to meet the set objectives. Identify and liaise with relevant influencers, negotiating fair rates for content, and ensuring the relevant agreements are in place
  • Analyze the end of the social media campaign performance, coming back to the campaign objectives and business goals, and identifying successes and areas for improvement
  • Manage digital advertising campaigns (SEM, Display, Social, Programmatic) to ensure all digital ad campaigns are properly executed in a timely manner, closely working with outside digital ad agencies
  • Prepare and present digital ad (and social ad) campaign reports with analysis to clients
  • Led the team in crafting out digital and social media contents and outputs to ensure the design and brand consistency that are in alignment with the client's brand identity/guidelines
  • Monitor and control all project activities in terms of quality, cost and schedules including closely working and consult with internal digital team staffs, digital vendors and partners, trying to improve them based on PDCA cycles

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
  • At least eight years of relevant work experience in communications, marketing and/or related fields, including public relations, digital marketing, digital advertising, management consulting, media, or publishing, preferably within an agency setting
  • Direct experience with digital marketing and social strategy development
  • Direct experience and skills with social contents developments and community managements
  • Direct experience with digital ad campaigns including digital media plan of social ads and DSP ads, and digital ad creative developments
  • Demonstrated ability to help develop digital/ social communications plans and implement integrated tactics
  • Experience in deploying social listening tools to monitor positive/negative comments and topic trends. Analyzing/reporting for boosting engagement and resolving any potential conflicts that may affect brand reputation
  • Skilled at participating in, and leading, strategic discussions both internally and with clients across the function teams
  • Experience in casting and managing influencers
  • Natural curiosity and willingness to dive into various social communities and their cultures
  • Keep up to date to the latest social media trends and emerging social media platforms in the industry
  • Ability to find hidden factors of community's engagement not just based on tangible data
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills both internally and with clients
  • Able to work closely with internal staffs at all levels and has strong leadership and communication skills to supervise junior staffs, give them consultations for problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing new digital vendors and partners
  • Ability to use the creative applications such as Photoshop, Illustlator, Canva and Gimp etc.
  • Experience in using digital analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of SEM and SEO, web analytics, digital media plan and digital ad analytics report
