The role is a critical part of Japan Oncology Business Unit (JOBU) strategy to drive innovation initiatives, to develop a corresponding mindset in the company and is responsible for launching and expanding JOBU Strategic Roadmap which also has the intent to drive an enhanced Go to Market Model and customer value proposition and operational excellence capabilities across the Region.
As a PMO member of the JOBU Leadership Team (JOLT), he/she helps to define the rhythm of the business, work across teams to gain alignment and develop and execute program plans across multiple stakeholders. To do this, he/she manages process improvements across numerous geographies, create certainty out of ambiguity and maintain a firm grasp over the operational and financial aspects of each program. Working with a large group of diverse stakeholders, he/she operates at a strategic level, while simultaneously being able to dive deep into the details of each program to drive results. He/she leads initiatives in a matrix-managed environment working closely with JOLT members, Head of Biz Planning & CoS and Global Oncology Team.
He/she also has a proven track record in taking on end-to-end strategic program ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. Acting as PMO the role-holder has responsibility for the entire strategic roadmap, while specific pillars are managed by sponsors from relevant functions.
1. Lead and Drive cross functional/company-wide strategical projects as a PMO of JOBU
・ Responsibilities include leadership JOBU strategic project teams, in strategic direction and translating project strategies into efficiently executable plans; predicting and planning solutions to achieve successful operational execution; driving the team to achieve clarity on issues and focus on effective contingencies; interfacing with senior management and influencing decision-making, monitoring slippage and developing strategies to get back on plan and navigating through the internal governance for projects.
・ Establish a PMO framework that can oversee all project management activity, design and implement a suitably high standard methodology for success, and enable the strategic coordination of multiple major projects and initiatives with the right prioritization.
・ Monitor progress against all projects, providing timely and accurate information to enable JOLT/top management to have visibility and sufficient data to make decisions
2. Manage key stakeholders on behalf of JOBU head
・ Interface with management and ensure appropriate communication with internal governance. Collaborate with leaders across the organization and provide input and updates to the senior leaders in accordance with the overarching management office governance. Ensure that programs remain aligned to JOBU strategy and top down imperatives.
・ Be responsible for coordinating governance approvals for the key project deliverables and holds self and team members accountable to deliver on the agreed upon program objectives.
・ Interface JOBU's planning process (MYC/LBE/MRP) and KPI which is aligned with Global OBU, then support setting each department KPIs within JOBU based on their business challenges as well as strategical priorities
・ Support internal/external audit by providing the comprehensive information of JOBU's financial numbers and products
・ Bachelor's degree or above (MBA preferred)
・ Professional Accountancy Qualification, e.g. USCPA is plus
・ 3+ years of working experiences in financial analysis or other relevant works
・ 3+ years of working experiences in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industries
・ Working experiences of business planning in Oncology area or Specialty Care area is plus
