This position will be responsible for the Technical Sales Activities within Japan for the Optical Materials Segment which includes materials for LED, Display （LCD and OLED）, and Micro－Electronics. This role will have primary responsibility for the customer interface and will interact heavily with a core business team comprised of marketing, technical service, and R＆D to close new business opportunities that will expand share in the Optical Materials market.
・Manage and grow the Optical business through further penetration, expansion and diversification of the customer base, to ensure that activities generate profitable growth （volume, margin, and profit）.
・Seek out and initiate contact at new customers where you can articulate the value of optical materials to generate new business opportunities.
・Ability to prioritize several initiatives simultaneously and create/maintain key customer plans. －
・Create idea of total solution for customer at optical market by finding partner of equipment or manufacturer related to optical module. －
・Owning the customer within the Optical team and ensuring that their needs are accurately translated to a geographically dispersed team of technical service, marketing, and R＆D.
・Provide technical solutions on LSR, HCR and Custom Compounds processing and applications in E/E consumer market.
・Respond quickly to customer's requests and support Commercials / Marketing with technical queries.
・Collaborate with customers to investigate the root causes of any elastomer processing issues.
・Travel and visit customers regularly to search for any new project opportunity, specifically for E/E consumer end－users / OEM / Tier 1 / Molders.
・Technically support the customers during HCR / Compounds compression molding, extruding, calendaring, LSR injection molding, and related troubleshooting / total technical solutions.
・Test and assess existing materials to verify quality claims, study property deviations and run DoE for best application performance.
・Participate in the global NPI promotion or development projects.
・Provide silicone elastomer training to the customers / distributors.
・Closely and frequently communicate with ADEs in other regions and maintain a cross－pole network with other sites, as well as R＆D team for silicone elastomer knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
・Minimum 5 years of previous sales experience demonstrating an ability to increase sales.
・Fluent Spoken and Written English and Japanese.
・Ability to travel frequently within the given territory.
・Technical Degree or commensurate technical work experience.
・Bachelor of Science
・Previous work experience for Electronics Materials a plus.
・Additional languages a plus （Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese）.
