日系大手事務機器メーカー出身。英国・米国駐在を経験。帰国後、外資系・日系大手メーカーや英国系人材紹介会社で幹部社員として勤務。

経理に加え人事・法務を含む管理機能全般を幅広くカバーするとともに、海外グループ会社管理にも深く関与。様々な立場で異文化・国際経験を豊富に積み、欧米型・日本型双方の経営スタイルを身をもって知るグローバル人材。

日系企業でありながら、様々な国籍の人が集い英語を公用語とするユニークなエンワールド・ジャパンに2017年1月に参画。現在はコーポレートサービス部門のシニアヴァイスプレジデントとして管理部門全体を統括する。

Akira Hori started his career at a major Japanese business equipment manufacturer and has experience of working as expatriate both in United Kingdom and the USA. After he returned to Japan, Akira served in executive positions at foreign capital companies, a Japanese major manufacturer, and a British recruitment company. He managed all functions within Corporate Services encompassing HR, legal and accounting, and he was heavily involved with operating overseas group companies. He is a true global talent who has abundant work experience in different cultures in various executive positions, utilizing his hands-on experience and applying both western and Japanese business management styles.

In Jan 2017, Akira joined en world Japan, a Japanese company, which has unique culture of using English as an official language among employees of very diverse nationalities.

He is currently Senior Vice President of Corporate Services where he oversees all teams within that division.

Akira holds a BA degree from Kyoto University.
